Andrew J Lovy, MD MS

Andrew J. Lovy MD, MS is a highly regarded Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training in Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular Surgery. Dr. Lovy specializes in the treatment of arthritic and traumatic disorders of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. His expertise includes arthroscopic and minimally invasive treatments of nerve compression syndromes, repair and reconstruction of tendon injuries, and sports injuries. Additionally, he has a particular interest in brachial plexus injuries, peripheral nerve surgery and traumatic reconstruction.

Prior to joining Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute, Dr. Lovy was an Assistant Professor, Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, one of the oldest and largest teaching hospitals in the U.S.  He additionally served as the Assistant Fellowship Director of Hand Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Beth Israel.  

Dr. Lovy has lectured nationally and internationally on disorders of the hand, elbow and shoulder.  He has additionally published more than 45 clinical and research articles.

Dr. Lovy completed his Orthopedic Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital NY, NY and then finished his fellowship in Hand, Upper Extremity and Microvascular Surgery at the world renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He earned his MD and MS in Clinical Research at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NY, NY and graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Tufts University.
